Refinishing is the part of auto body work everyone judges by eye, and it is very largely decided before any color reaches the panel.

Preparation decides the result

Most refinish failures trace back to prep. We strip to a sound substrate, treat bare metal, and build primer in stages, blocking between coats so the surface ends up flat rather than merely smooth. Filler goes on thin and only where panel geometry calls for it. A wavy panel under excellent color still reads as a repair from ten feet away.

Matching paint that has aged

A paint code tells us where to start, not where to finish. Ten year old clear on a car that lives outdoors in Ohio has drifted from the factory value, and metallic and pearl finishes shift with spray angle and film build. We shoot test cards, compare them against the vehicle in daylight, adjust, and blend into adjacent panels so no hard edge sits where new meets old.

A controlled booth

Color is applied in a downdraft booth with filtered air and regulated temperature. Dust in a fresh clear coat means sanding and buffing it back out, so keeping contamination out costs less than correcting it later. Panels are baked to full cure before reassembly.

More than collision work

We take on complete repaints where a finish has failed from age and sun, color changes for owners who want something different, and clear coat restoration where the base underneath is still sound. Stone chipping along the leading edge of a hood is routine on vehicles that spend their weeks on I-75 and I-275.
